We are usually pretty quick.  But don't worry make 3 quality posts…nothing offensive and you can visit the free poker timer forum to access the download.  This is much faster than we had set up before.  We tried to make it easier to receive the timer without attracting spam and bots that junk your email address or a forum.

Post #2 is this going to work and not piss off my buddies?

It will work.  Not too sure what your buddies are going to say.  But if you aren't using a timer now, they will probably like the feel and look of the blind timer.

Glad you stopped by!  You were wondering how long the timer will work…as far as I am aware the timer is good without any time limits.   It doesn't expire or ask for registration.   You are good to go for a long time.  Enjoy!

You are in the right place.   Make sure you let everyone here know how you game went.   I am sure people would like to hear about the game went with the timer.

Im having a game this friday at the house and was hoping to use the timer, is this the right place?  By the looks of it on youtube it looks pretty cool.  Whats a good time limit for blinds?  We like the tourney but sometimes it takes to long and we always like to finish with a cash game.

This really looks like the thing I need. We've tried some dutch timers (I'm from Holland), but they were hard to setup. One of them even crashed during the play…

Looking at the YouTube movie, this is the timer we need. I invited my friends next week for a small tournament. I hope it will work!

Well, it was a lot of work building this site and forum.  You went to the trouble to search for the timer on google and then register here.  You received an email telling you how to get the timer and then you post on the forum here.   Was it really that hard for a FREE poker tournament blind timer?  Really?  Surprised

I will play a tournament next sunday. And I really need a poker timer. Is it really necessary to make 3 posts in the forum?

How will I receive the link? Is that via email?

Make the posts and that will open a new forum to access the download. Not by email.

Hope that helps.

Oke great.

Can we use the timer offline?

Absolutely. That is the beautiful think about this timer. Download and use it offline on a laptop or desktop. You could use a laptop and connect it to a large LCD or Plasma tv for a phenominal effect.
I have used it on our 37 inch LCD and its enourmous. But I love the look.

How do I get the blind timer?  I am having a game this weekend and I would like it by then.

I would also like some advice on a blind stucture for a 8 man game.  Should they always double or should you arrange them based on how long you want the game to go?  We like to play cash games after the tournamnet, but I don't want to play all night so what would be best?

I forgot to ask about the chip denominations.  Some of my friends like to play what I call speed tournamnets which last about 1 1/2 hours and then they play two or three of them in a night.  We get into arguments about how many chips to start with all the time.  I feel like the game should last as long as it takes and that you shouldn't get blinded out in the first hour because you lost a couple of hands.  What is a good amount to start out with in a 8 man game?

I think depending on how many chips each player starts with and the 1st level of blinds can really set you up for the tournament you want.  For instance a tourney with 2000 in chips each, 10 players with 20 minute blinds starting at 50-100 will last significantly longer than the same tourney with 1st level blinds at 100-200 and 10 minute blinds.

I think a slight adjustment will speed up the game.   Maybe someone else has a better suggestion?
